I am 6'3" and can not imagine anyone shorter than 6' riding this bike. The center of gravity is higher than normal, and at times turns and unsteady surfaces can be a little unsettling. But, I like that a bike company finally made a bike that feels comfortable for me.On one eBike review site, the reviewer give this bike thumbs up but said that the way the motor gradually winds downs was a bit of a negative for him. I found that I really like that. Before buying this bike, I went to a shop and rode almost every bike in the place. I prefer the winding of this motor to the sudden stopping types. I like how the battery looks seamless with the bike, and I like the sleek design.My reasons for not giving a fifth star:1, The adjustable handlebars are not worth it, and potentially dangerous. As my bike mechanic asked me: When have you been out riding, and suddenly decided you wanted to adjust your handlebars? Well, since that was a feature of this bike, I did that. Unfortunately, that resulted in the adjustment becoming so lose that halfway though a long ride I lost almost all stirring control. Now, I have the handlebars locked into one comfortable position.2. While the bike is designed for the big and tall, the seat apparently is not. After breaking a bolt on the second seat-- again, halfway though a long ride-- I took the bike to my bike mechanic who said it was a torque problem. According to him, the seat stem isn't designed to hold my 6'3" 245 frame. My peddling was pushing the seat back beyond the adjustment point, and ultimately breaking the seat bolt. He advised I replace the one bolt design with a two bolt stem, and thus far no more problem there.3. The removable control screen can be a real pain. I am not sure where the error codes guide for the bike are written down, but fortunately, the shop where I bought the bike (given all the problems I had out of the box, I am very happy I ultimately went to a dealer who has been great at repairing, advising, etc... as a part of the buyers warranty) warned me about "error 13". This happens when the connection between the screen and the contacts are not firm. His advice: Never remove the removable screen. However, there have been times where I have been riding and bumped the screen resulting in the "error 13" where the motor stops and the bike is almost impossible to peddle. The solution is to stop, wiggle the screen, and then try turning the system on again. Should you not stop and continue to peddle while trying to restart the screen, this causes an "error 14". You can coast without peddling and restart, but this bike does not coast far.5. For some reason, sometimes the motor does not disengage at stop lights/ signs, and then will not motor on when you attempt to move. My solution is to adjust the peddle assist down to zero at stops, throttle off at the green light, and then readjust while peddling. This sound a bit complicated, but I do it fairly easily now.Other issues: Since I bike everyday to work and back (about 20 miles), the bungee cords that come with the bike didn't work all the well to carry "real" packages. I got bags to fit on the sides after one package slid off causing the bungee cord to become entangled into the gears and torn to shreds. Also, the lights are not all that bright if you have nighttime biking. I bought lights to add to the lights on the bike. When I bought the bike, the dealer said that the lights always break off, and advised that I buy some. The plastic design is a bit flimsy. However, while mine have not broken off even after a nasty fall, the rear lights cable is broken somehow, and the front light is being held in proper positioning with duct tape-- but works. As I mentioned, I have about a 20 mile roundtrip commute. This is near the max of my battery life. I bought a second charger and recharge at work, and then again at home just to be sure that I always have plenty of charge. I can make the whole trip on a single change, but barely!In general, I really like my bike. I would imagine any bike would have some issues. So, I haven't let the above problems rate this bike any lower than 4 stars-but definitely not 5.
