This is the first woodburning kit I've ever purchased, but it was, as is kind of the nature of the product, very easy to use. The iron heats up quite quickly, and it did take me some time to pick and choose the right attachment for each aspect of my project - this kit comes with plenty of attachments to serve any need you might have. I haven't had any defects of any kind with this kit. If you want to get into pyrography, I think this kit is a great way to start - a great value for money and easy to use.

The thin plastic liner will melt right away as well as the lid if it comes into contact with a hot tip so let it cool down first before storage.

**Q: Anyone use this with otdefense stippling tips? are they compatible?**
A: I ordered this wood burner kit along with the OTDefense basket weave tip. The OTDefense tip does fit with no issues.

**Q: My tool is not heating even after 20 minutes. I believe it’s supposed to start hearing when you plug it in. Is there anything I am doing wrong?**
A: If you have it plugged in after 20 minutes and it’s not heating, then it’s defective so send it back

**Q: would the hot knife tip cut/score upholestry foam ?**
A: Never tried it myself, but I think it would, if the foam isn’t flammable.  But it seems to me it would be a lot easier to use a box cutter on the foam…

**Q: Does this work with ET-Series tips?**
A: No, this model does not work with the ET series tips.
