That being said, I personally don't find it bothersome. It is typically legible if you have the patience for it, understand its nature and enjoy the aesthetic. I also fully charged the watch before I started wearing it daily and it's consistently maintained a "high" charge reading. It covers most instances of accidental damage, & basically matches Casio's standard 2 year warranty. No disrespect to those who like the GWM5610-1 model with the red, blue & gold colors on the face, but I find it to be a little too nerdy-looking for me, & I'm not a fan of the positive display. I even prefer the brighter blue backlight display to the vintage green-colored el display. The screen can be hard to see but I can always make out the time for me it’s not that much of an issue. The auto light feature is fantastic in the dark and since it’s solar powered it doesn’t do it during the day. Having the radio controlled time is amazing one of the reasons I like my Apple Watch was knowing it was always on the correct time and this one does exactly that. I had a gshock in high school one of the best and toughest watches I’ve ever owned and a quality build.
