Nevertheless, it works perfectly. One of my monitors had gone out and I ultimately traced the problem to a defective adapter. Plug this one in. The monitor immediately came to life. Full resolution. Excellent picture quality. And it appears to be sturdily made. One reviewer gave it one star because he said it "jammed" in the port on his computer. It's important to understand that these are locking connectors. One side of the male connector has a ripped tab. In order to remove the connector you have to press in that tab in order to release it. It's very easy to miss this fact if you're not familiar with this type of connector. It is really basically impossible to get stuck.
