Unfortunately this happened with me and because I'm unable to find the tear I can't fix it. **Q: Is it hypoallergenic ?** A: no clue you would have to look at what it is made of **Q: How can I Wash? I could do it but it took more effort than I wanted lol. Next time I’d order the 12 lb one. I also believe other blankets could keep you warmer and this is more for the feel of it. I’ve been trying out different blankets and the weighted blanket ranks 6/10 for warmth and an 8/10 for the feeling of safety and being secure.
