It is even prettier in person. It has weight to it, but not too much, very comfortable. Well made, holds a small amount of ashes (which I like), and closes tight. I did decide to seal with super glue for extra piece of mind. We just lost my grandmother, and while I wasn't interested at first in keeping ashes, I didn't think I wanted or needed to, I'm so glad I did. My grandma loved owls and it has been very comforting. This necklace just looks like a nice piece of jewelry, no one would know that it actually opens up. and doesn't look like traditional jewelry for this purpose. It also came with a nice easy tiny funnel and something to help the ashes through, which was a life saver.
