It might just be my ignorance but I interpreted the CCW/CW description as being CAPABLE of rotation in both directions... BUT, it really means that the direction is totally random. Some folks have posted that if it is turning the wrong direction, just turn it off and on again. O.k.... mine doesn't do that. It is CCW all the time every time. Odd because the motor that I replaced also said CCW/CW but it turned CW all the time every time for the last 15 years. It is my fault for not investigating further... I just glanced at it and assumed that reversing the power leads would change its direction. Right! If it was a DC motor. I'm sure it is a fine motor gear set, just be aware. Seems weird, makes me wonder about applications where reverse direction could be a disaster. Turntables?
