Review: Great packing tape!! - Me and my wife decided to buy this brand of packing due to the wider size 2.83 vs 2" wide. We used this for shipping a box overseas to Manila to be exact. Currently our shipping company switched to brown double walk boxes from white and recommended to use kraft reinforced brown tape instead of plastic tape for recycling purposes now implemented. This brand of tape works well. After we bought this my wife was asking how to apply it. Normally from past experience in warehouse shipping companies we used tape machines for this type of tape. I priced them this can be expensive for the electric ones. My idea was to use the wet sponge method as done in warehousing when the tape machines became out of order. The glue on the tape is satisfactory and just need to wet the sponge and then wipe across the back of the tape. Then rapidly apply before the gum glue starts to dry. If need be after tape is applied can go over the edges of the tape if they did not adhere well, then press the tape down. I want to say less of this tape was used to seal the top and bottom of a large box versus using plastic tape in the past. Because due to weather change the plastic tape adhesion would come loose on areas of the box then we have to apply more tape. I recommend this tape for shipping brown boxes. AAA+

**Q: Can the tape be applied manually without a machine?**
A: Yes, certainly. Water-activated tape can be applied with a wet sponge — just get the tape sufficiently damp with the sponge, and the water will soak through the tape, activating the glue side. It dries quickly. 

A sponge in a bowl works well. Just drag the tape over the sponge before applying it. 

That said, it’s much easier to use a dispenser.

**Q: Can you over lap the tape ? Meaning with a tape stick to itself for a second layer for heavier weights**
A: Yes. The glue is strong enough and adheres to itself. I fully covered an old, weak box with overlapping layers and had great success.

**Q: What’s the thickness?**
A: like the paper mail you get. that thick.

**Q: Can I use my own tape with my logo?**
A: Yes
