I guess volatile essntial oils are a very effective treatment against demodex mites, so if you can’t afford this stuff try mixing a few drops of tea tree oil in your moisturizer. If you can afford it, though, I highly recommend this cream, which I think is the most effective of all the Ovante products I tried. Within three weeks, my mite problem is completely under control, and my skin looks better than it has in 10 years. It peeled like crazy for the first two weeks, mostly in the problem areas, but if you can get through that, it’s worth it. I only wear it at night (that’s when the mites come out to breed), and I alternated nights until my skin could tolerate nightly use. The smell leaves much to be desired, but it’s a small price to pay for the improved complexion and ability to go out in the sun again.
