Review: Well-made, exactly what I need for drafting patterns - I like the size, scale and curve of this ruler. It's metal, well-made, and works so perfectly well for drafting patterns for clothing. I have used it a few times now and am very pleased with this. I had originally ordered a see-through plastic curved french ruler, but it was too short and very cheaply made. I thought it was going to be a problem using a non-see-through metal ruler, however, so far it is not a problem at all. The length of this ruler is perfect - about 23" long as the crow flies (it has markings for 24 inches, but that's on a curve).

Glad I got one of the last ones I could find... Anywhere. It's metal so it's durable, the measurements are attached in with a bit of coloring in the etching. I like that because it permanent vs. plastic which is not as durable and the etching is very slight. Anyway, it great for bigger projects as well.
