All I know is I went to unscrew the cap and the brush wouldn’t come out, as an experiment we broke apart the bottle and it revealed the perfectly formed solid chunk of top coat. It works exactly as a top coat should. It was exactly what I needed and I will buy more bottles in the future. I still have all my powders. I have purchased the clear powder and other colors. I would suggest getting a kit with powders you will use. Now kiara sky has kit with assorted colors. This one is just base powders. I also had to replace #2 . It's only 10 $. This is well worth the money. I've saved over 1000$ per yr by doing my nails myself. On average a person gets their nails done every 2 weeks . That's 27 times in one yr. If you spend 50 $ each time u spend 1350 a yr. If u get your toes done too. Double that #. This is under 100 $ . I'll take DIY for 100 please. If you just buy this kit all u will need is some polishes, filer, buffer and accessories. Instructions are online. I have been doing my own powder dips for about a year now. I've been been using Kiara Sky for most of that time. I've dropped some serious cash on this with the mindset that it is still cheaper than the salon.... Except the salon can get this to come out smooth and shiny. I have followed all of these videos step by step completely. I've wiped down my nails before adding the top every time and STILL end up with a top coat that is either clumpy or cloudy which is generally a reaction of the top mixing with the Seal and Protect...... Except I can't find a way to fix that even with following the directions exactly. I've tried everything to remedy this issue. I've even replaced bottles multiple times thinking it was some kind of cross contamination with the Seal and Protect product (basically a catalyst for the base and top). I have started with a fresh bottle, kept things clean and dust free, only used lint-free wipes, wiped the brush before dipping it back into the bottle, used the brush shaver before uses, made sure and wiped my Seal and Protect before a top coat and it turns out EXACTLY THE SAME. Cloudy and clumpy. I switched to a non wipe gel top coat to alieve frustration and have had an entirely different set of issues. I'm ready to throw this in the trash and either switch brands or go back to the salon. So insanely frustrating! I've watched pretty much all of Kiara Sky's videos on YouTube to try and help and they've all been a bust. Moral of the story- save your money and buy something else.
