## Description

Newhouse Hardware's CHIMBASE2 door chime is the chime mechanism only (cover is sold separately; search CHM3DCOVER for a compatible cover or CHM3D for the chime base AND cover). This is a replacement chime for your doorbell and is intended for hardwired installation. It may be used with one or two doors. It features two distinctive chimes, 2-note melody for the front door and 1-note melody for the back door, so you'll know which door to head to. Powered by a 16-volt AC transformer, sold separately (search Newhouse Hardware model# 16TR or 3TRAN). A great addition or replacement for your home. **Q: Will this work with ring doorbell?**
A: Mine does work with a delay.

**Q: Will this work properly if mounted vertically? I see there is an arrow on it that implies it should be mounted horizontally, but I need vertical.**

All our chimes are made to be mounted horizontally. We have had customers say that the chime can be mounted vertically, and others have said that the chime sound does not work properly. So, we cannot guarantee this.

Our Nutone doorbell was only working with our front doorbell. The side door chime wasn't working as the slow was malformed. We purchased this doorbell replacement and it is 95% identical. Our old cover fit over it without a problem.
