Great job guys! - The pad came in sooner than expected. It was packed well and showed no signs of a bad trip. The pad is well made and cables are suficiently long. I’m using this on my FT5 and it stuck very well to the bottom of the alum bed. I just cleaned the surface with alcohol and used a roller to press the pad firmly Into my existing one. Using a SSR and 255 (full current) on the firmware it heats up to 80c stupid fast. 120c in less than 2mins. It is a great upgrade from that 12v bed. Would highly recommend it! Heated the bed of my FT5 to 100C in 3 mins and holds temperature very well in pwm mode with the recommended SSR. When autotuning the PID controller my controller threw a warning that my heater was overpowered and calculated a max peak temp of over 350 deg C was possible. Installation was easy, the pad came with 3M adhesive applied so all I needed was a clean bed to stick it to. I used my old 12v bed heater cables as an input to the SSR and then sacrificed an old power cord and wired it into the load side. It just needs to be in the 120v circuit, same as a switch and polarity doesn't matter with that.
