**Q: what is the min. thickness tool can handle ? should there be a space between the clamp bar and the inside tool face?**
A: I've used this tool to tighten the smallest zip ties. I believe the answer to your second question is no. I prefer this tool to one I have that sets a spring tension.

A: No, it is made in Taiwan

**Q: Will this work on 1/8 inch diameter fuel connections on a boat?**
A: I'm not really sure what you mean by 1/8" connections on a boat. This is a nylon bander. It will not work with metal bands if that's what you're referring to.

**Q: Will these work with large hvac pull ties?**
A: Yes that is what I purchased them for and they worked great
