Kinda. I was making a halo helmet and used this to make my visor a one way mirror. The effect is slightly holographic. The way this works is that you paint this stuff on the inside of a piece of plastic and then black out the lightsource from behind. If you have light from both sides then it just makes like a silver film. Also this stuff rubs off pretty easily. A note on application, I highly recommend an airbrush for application. Using a brush causes it to streak a lot and it shows when it reflects light. **Q: do you need to seal before top coat?** A: It is always better to seal your work before proceeding to the next step. If you don't seal it, handling the piece could dull the shine a little. However, it is not "necessary" to seal this paint before applying a top coat. I have applied other colors over this paint without sealing it and have had no difficulties. The second coat adhered well. **Q: Would this work over Molotow Liquid Chrome?** A: If airbrushed with a light hand over a DARK color, yes **Q: What do you use to prep for this? A glossy black?** A: From what I've read, yes, a glossy black, but read online to see what type of paint (ie. Enamel, acrylic, lacquer) to use underneath.
