Review: We love this vanilla. It is real. - We are vanilla connoisseurs. This is good vanilla. Any actual pure vanilla is just dried and ground up vanilla beans, and it is grainy and brown. It is also not all that vanilla smelling or tasting, oddly enough. When vanilla beans are extracted, the resultant liquid is dried into powder. That's what this is. They add a bit of dextrose so it does not turn into a rock-solid and unusable clump. I am extraodinarily picky about additives and this small amount is ok w me. I don't want to chip my vanilla off a brick. The small amount of monkfruit is also pulverized, liquified and dried. It is pure monkfruit, pure, clean and glycemic index of 0. This particular vanilla is slightly sweet because it contains pure monkfruit. This vanilla adds a good tasting moderately strong vanilla to anything. I use it in drinks, coffee, rice crispy treats, cereal, baking, cooking. Happy with it. Have reordered many times. Btw, I am super careful about what we eat and this meets our standards. Aki takes extreme care with their products. I have investigated their company and communicated with them. I have a full bag of natural ground vanilla beans and they do not compare whatseover with this extract mixed with monkfruit and made usable by a powdered dextrose additive.
