Used as my personal item on United. It wasn't packed too full so it did fit under my seat. My 15in laptop fit but was pretty tight inside the laptop compartment. It would have fit inside the bag itself but I ended up buying a separate laptop bag for my trip. It's canvas so it's stiff at first. I sprayed it with a deluted Downy/water, put it in a pillowcase and ran it through the dryer a few times. I'm 5'4" and it was comfortable to carry backpack style using both shoulder straps. Cons are just minor inconveniences: I wish it had the drink holder and the location of the clip on top makes it a bit annoying to zip/unzip the top.
