Also, if you don't secure and stow the straps before checking the bag at the airport, there's a good chance that the baggage handling machinery is going to rip the straps off. As for organization, this bag is geared towards transportation and storage. It's a single large compartment and a few smaller pockets, it's not really meant for living out of while you're traveling unless you're also using bag organizers.
