It's possible, but the wide opening around the floss that is awesome for adult teeth is clunky and awkward in a toddler-sized mouth. If your toddler is averse to teeth cleaning, it might be even harder. For our toddler, our dentist recommended some kid themed single use flossers. They come in bright colors with grips on the handles for easy use amd can be found at most local stores that carry toothpaste and toothbrushes. **Q: About how many inches of floss will the handle hold?** A: I typically put about 3 feet of floss on it, but I do that by wrapping the excess around the handle below the little knob. I then unwrap one new revolution each day. If you only use the little circle meant for wrapping, you can only get about 18 inches on it. **Q: can you use one hand to use this product** A: Getting the floss on with one would be difficult but flossing with one hand is no problem **Q: Can this be used with the floss loosely anchored between the sides? I want to make sure I can make a "C" shape around the teeth as this is the properl** A: I hold the end of the floss on the handle, once around the anchor pin, along the right slot, across to the left slot and back for several locking turns around the anchor pin. The floss must be pulled tight enough to pull the fingers closer together, i.e. tension on the floss. If slack to make a "C" the floss pulls out of the slots when pulling back and has to be re-inserted in the slots by squeezing the fingers together until the floss can be slipped back into the slots.
