## Description

Product description Hiboy Electric Scooters Hiboy U2 Pro Hiboy ECOM 14 Hiboy VE1 PRO

Review: I'm extremely happy with my purchase! 👍 - My grown Son bought one through desertcart, I was so impressed I bought one too (I bought mine directly through Hiboy. Shipping took an extra day but they don't charge taxes, just a $17.98 International sales fee, so I saved like $50 😁) I live 11.3 miles from my job and I can make it there and back on a full charge. I did a lot of research before I bought this and learned that most scooters don't go as far as advertised but this one gets damn close! I'm not a little tiny girl either, I stand 5' 8" and weigh 170 lbs. However, I did go for the optional seat and I think that makes a difference, I seem to go just a bit faster when I'm sitting and I think it makes less wind resistance so that might be a factor in battery life. (But just a smidge) And as awesome as the battery life is, what REALLY sold me was the e brake and solid tires!! I won't lie, it's a ROUGH ride. ( I DO NOT suggest this for county or rural areas. It'd be absolutely impossible on a dirt or gravel road.) I happen to live in Las Vegas and it is absolutely amazing in an urban (paved road) setting!! If not for the solid tires, I'd have been stuck on the side of the road, late for work, several times already! I have ran over sharp rocks, broken glass, random metal scraps, nails and/or screws, and I just keep cruising. My Son bought an Evercross and had SOOOO many problems with the tires and disk breaks. (No offense to Evercross, he still got 900+ miles out of it and the engine and battery are still good) These were problems I didn't want to deal with and so I wasn't interested in electric scooters...then he bought an S 2 pro with the e brake ❤️. It doesn't need to be constantly adjusted AND it feeds back in to the battery!!! I know this has both, but honestly, I don't even use the disk brakes unless I'm already stopped and just don't want it to roll. If you are just doing research at this point I can't stress this enough THE E BRAKE IS AWESOME AND MAINTENANCE FREE!!! Disk brakes are a pain in the butt!!!! I debated between this and the Titan but the e brake was the tie breaker. As far as the lights, I feel like the red underlighting makes you visible to traffic and the headlight is plenty bright but it points about 5 feet+++ ahead of you. I added a cheap flashlight to the bottom of the handlebar stem to light the ground in front of the tire. Also, the lights don't seem to suck much juice. I get the same milage with the lights on or off, so you won't have to choose between safety and milage. Overall, I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY with my purchase, it's a BLAST to ride, easy to control, solid construction except the handlebars (easy fix) ((the welds are beautiful on the body!!)) Oh! I almost forgot. It's simple to put together, just a few screws and they include all the wrenches you will need. But you will have to pull the black wire out a bit from the bottom so the handlebars fit. DO NOT try to jam it in place on top of the wire. This part will make sense when you put it together 😁 Update: still running like a champ. I tighten all the bolts once or twice a month and ALWAYS store it inside, but otherwise absolutely no maintenance at all. I have not had to fix or replace a single part. I still get 19 mph and 26 miles to a charge! That's just insane to me after all this time. I'm really happy to see the price has dropped considerably since I purchased mine because I recommend Hiboy to everyone. I honestly only expected about two years out of it but it's been almost FIVE YEARS now. I wish it had an odometer, I'd love to know how many miles it's got on it because I ride it almost daily. I knew Hiboy was a good brand but I never expected such quality. I think it's priced at $400 now, do the math. $400 for 5 years (so far) that's $80 a year!!! And the way it's holding up I really think I might get ANOTHER 5 years of riding it.
Review: Convenient - It’s perfect for me to get to work and home safe and the e brake makes it so much easier to stay on point. It has auto cruise so when there’s no one around hold the button down for 10 seconds and let it ride itself! The tires are a decent size so the ride isn’t that bumpy. There’s grips on the handle bars so even if you hit a hard bump or a sudden stop, you won’t fly off. It’s an all around great scooter and it’s making my life so much easier. It’s hot as hell out here in SC but on the fastest speed I don’t even have deal with that deadly heat, I just be cruising and as long as I don’t forget my shades I’m good. I can’t lie, I love this damn scooter, and there’s a slow speed so you can ride on the sidewalk if you want to. You ain’t gotta worry about gas prices or maintenance, you just charge your scooter up like a cell phone and that’s it! Best scooter I’ve ever had , make sure you get one with a seat though. It’s a lot more comfortable

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I weight 230 pounds, would i be able to hit 19mph?**
A: I got mine on june 13th i got the pro one
I weight 280 and says recommend 225lbs
I was worried at first but took my weight well i was able to go 19mph no problem going up hills was 12mph but mile range was reduced by 9miles would assume im heavier
But over all got 12miles of running around but i would get the pro max if i could

**Q: I’m 5’8 at 221lbs. will this hilboy s2 pro go the max speed with me on it?**
A: No. The heavier you are, the slower the acceleration and top speed. someone who is 150 will accelerate and reach a higher top speed than someone 220. it's just physics and math.

**Q: Why are those solid tires better than pneumatic ones? Do they absorb sock well? And does this scooter ride more smoothly?**
A: Solid tires never will have a flat. There's the benefit. They ride rougher for sure. However I prefer riding a little rough over constantly fixing flats. i read some other reviews of other scooters and others complained about that. I'm very pleased w/ my scooters overall. I bought two. One has a minor squeak in the rear wheel bearing but not too bad. They both have been fun, solid scooters

**Q: Is this a good scooter to purchase for someone that is 6'4?**
A: I'm 6'4", and the reason I bought this scooter, is because the handlebars are higher. Other scooters, I felt like I was crouching and it was uncomfortable. My wife has one and she's 5'4" and she has no problem with it either.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for commuting but it is dangerous due to the quality of construction.
*by C***R on October 3, 2024*

I have used it for about two years now. It gets me to where I'm going well. It's a comfortable ride and 19 miles an hour for >10 miles fits what I need. Be wary though as the cheap construction of the support arm can lead to dangerous situations. My arm cracked completely in half while riding on a flat bike path home at 19 mph. I am extremely lucky to have not been seriously injured for this issue. There picture provided shows the weak connection of the pole to the bottom with the screws. That is where it cracked. The warranty is clearly 1 year (I have had it for longer, almost 2 years) and support has denied sending me a new arm to replace it for no cost because its out of warranty (understandable) but the severity and danger associated with this issue should go past that. Edit: Oct 28 2024: They have sent me a replacement arm for no cost after asking again. Elsa sent me an arm with all required materials and protocols for installation. The new arm seems improved with less points of failure. I will continue to use this scooter as my daily commuter as before! Conclusion: good scooter for getting from point A to point B quickly but there may potentially be other safer options out there
