## Description

Delicate, versatile, subtly detailed earrings in darkened silver and raven's-wing black pearl. To me ammonites represent history, math-in-nature, and the inter-connectedness of things. These miniature treasures are cast sterling silver and show beautiful detail in the tiny stairstep nooks and crannies. Sterling silver, oxidized to a beautiful dark color with subtly iridescent hues, and paired with lustrous black pearls; these dangle from handcrafted ear hooks. Who loves these? Stylish girls who like a piece that can go with anything, but want something a little geeky, a little unusual. Science girls, nature girls, girls who love spirals and the golden ratio. All of the ammonites in my jewelry are created from a wax impression of a real fossil; they are cast using the lost-wax casting process. The chains and all the wirework are also sterling. The fossil portion measures 3/8" tall. Total length is just under 2.25". This style of earring is available in several colors and finishes - please see my store for more options!
