Review: Great Stuff - Put one coat on some cedar fence last year. Noticed the other day how good it still looks. Went and coated it again and the product beaded up just like it was applied yesterday. Excellent outdoor sealer. This penetrates and makes water bead up but does not leave much of a surface film. Its super easy to apply and totally forgiving.

I searched for the perfect sealer for a live edge outdoor art piece and this one ticked all the boxes: Goes on quick and easy, low/no odor, soap & water clean up, fast drying, non-yellowing and excellent waterproofing. The best part!? It lived up to all of my expectations! The only “negative” about this product (which was actually an amazing bonus) was the clip added to the top of the gallon to prevent leaking during shipping was on tight and took some muscle to remove!! Shipping was lightening fast too!! It did an excellent job in sealing the live edge of the wood and I anticipate it will preserve it for years!

**Q: Can it be used on green treated lumber**
A: Pressure treated lumber has to be dry.

A: Yes the clear MARINE can be painted or stained.  Or you can purchase a tint for SEAL-ONCE and use the MARINE as a sealer and stain.

**Q: I want to use this on a 6x6 wood beam at the opening to my walk-in shower (floor to ceiling). No direct shower spray. Will this seal it?**
A: Yes you may use it for this specific application. As suggested in a comment down bellow, you would want to make sure that it is fully cured before using the shower. Typically it would take 48 hours to cure but it may take longer depending on the environment.

**Q: does this work for the interior of a sauna , safe to sit on?**
A: It dries to a hard, smooth finish, is non toxic and nice to look at.  Would be safe to sit on...other types of recreation may require caution.

Honestly, I didn’t know what to think. There are several negative reviews, several positive, which left me in a bit of a lurch. Do I risk it and potentially regret it, or will I be a lucky one? I went ahead and pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier. I followed the directions to a “T”, bought the clear and then purchased the black tint separately. This stuff goes on like a dream. It’s is a bit watery, which the green painting tape didn’t completely guard against, but being water based made for pretty easy cleanup. I’ll try the upgraded paint block tape next time. We’ve had a hard rain today and this stuff had performed flawlessly. Water beads up and runs right off, the wood fibers seem very well protected/sealed, nothing to complain about as far as adhesion goes. Time will tell if it lives up to its stated duration. Honestly though, it goes on so easy and looks so good, I’m not opposed to having to reapply earlier if needed.
