### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dr. DeSoto Has Captured Our Grandchild's Heart

While teaching 2nd grade, I read Dr. DeSoto, by William Steig, to my class. You could've hear a pin drop as I read the book and walked around with the pictures. Years later, I went back to Dr. DeSoto for my 3 year old grandchild. She, too, was mesmerized by the dentist who treats animals. Dr. DeSoto Goes to Africa is her new favorite book (along with Shrek! another book by Steig). They are a bit wordy, but at three she sits through the story, asking questions about what she doesn't understand and that is good enough for me. Highly recommend!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love Doctor De Soto!

Who doesn't love Doctor De Soto? I have loved him since I was a kid. (I was born in 1982.)Anyway, this is the second of the Doctor De Soto books and is not disappointing. I will not ruin the story, but I will say it is amusing, appropriate for all ages, and of course the pictures are adorable as ever. My 6 year old LOVES these books. There are some large words, so they are not the easiest for beginner readers, but they are still great reads!
