This expansion requires the base Raiders of the North Sea game to play. What's Inside: Components for a fifth player, letting your entire gaming group raid together Mead Hall board with new Village location and dedicated card drafting area Twenty-seven unique quest cards introducing new victory point strategies Forty mead tokens for powerful mid-raid strength boosts Six large player boards designed for efficient card and resource management Twelve reputation tiles, six multiplier tiles, and thirty townsfolk cards New Strategic Gameplay After each raid, place new quests on the board. Complete them by sending warriors of specific strength values from your hand. Once completed, quests score victory points at game's end while rewarding you with iron, gold, silver, and other valuable resources. Review: Fantastic Expansion - The Hall of Heroes Expansion for Raiders of the North Sea is a much needed expansion if you are looking to add a bit of complexity and length to the already stellar gameplay of the original game. A very nice addition that this expansion gives is player boards for each player and an added 5th player (purple) option for larger group play. This expansion also adds another location in the Village where players may send (or retrieve) a worker and take one of two possible actions: 1)Charm the Crowd (gain a card to their hand and gain a combination of mead/silver) or 2)set out on a quest (which will gain them resources (provisions/silver/plunder) and a quest tile. Gaining mead allows players to add more strength to their Vikings during a raid. A quest tile, along with providing resources, is added to the top of your player board where it will provide the player with "end-game victory points". Collect (3) similar Quest Tiles to gain a reputation tile (game comes with 12 for great replay-ability, while only 4 are available each game) which will provide an immediate bonus and will also be placed on the top of the player's board to go toward that player's end-game victory points. This expansion adds some nice extra complexity with more hand-management and more things players can do throughout the course of the game. Highly Recommended!

The Hall of Heroes Expansion for Raiders of the North Sea is a much needed expansion if you are looking to add a bit of complexity and length to the already stellar gameplay of the original game.
