This single-tub unit has all of the features of our double-tub unit but in a more affordable price range. Features a 1 1/2" diameter acme screw that is 22" long. Has the Apple Eater grinder unit that makes the task of chopping apples so fast. The drum is made of hard maple wood and has stainless steel inset teeth for durability. Pressing disk features a 2" reinforced handle with inset for easily handling. Tub has beveled staves for easy cleaning. The frame is made of hard maple wood to last for many generations.     the convenience is worth the money

I got to use one of these set ups this weekend when  my grandfathers press finally gave up the ghost after about 110 years of annual use to make cider( no fear, will get it fixed, but can't make the parts until after  apple season is done) only modification made to the press was plywood  hopper  for the crusher so i could load it with a full basket of apples at a time.. in my Opa's set up, you would crush the apples in to tubs which were then transferred to  the press, which as you can imagine is heavy, messy work. this was a dream to use the 350 gallons that normally take me 4 or 5 days to crush & press took about a day and a half to do. you would be surprised how many apples it takes to fill up a whisky barrel! this is now on my christmas list, and maybe santa will be good to me this year.....
