They work perfectly for planting a garden because they are lightweight and the fit is nice and snug, giving me the dexterity needed for handling seeds and transplants but still protecting my hands. They also work great for pulling small weeds due to the superb dexterity they offer. I wore them out pretty quickly. When I went back to the store to replace them, they no longer carried them. I was very happy to find them on Amazon.com. I now have 12 pair! I normally wear a size 7 in women’s gloves, but the Medium (size 8) fits best in these. A smaller size would make it difficult to slip the gloves on. I have tried other, similar gloves, but like these best because of the snug fit and they don’t make my hands sweat. These are not for heavy duty work. Best to use your leather garden gloves for those jobs. In my opinion, they are the best gloves of this type.
