The impact caused some minor scuffing and scraping on the side of the helmet, but the integrity of the helmet remained fully intact. Despite the visible signs of the crash, I'm still very impressed with the quality and durability of this helmet. The outer shell is tough and the padding inside provided excellent shock absorption, preventing any injuries. I'm confident that if I had not been wearing this helmet, the outcome would have been much worse. The fit is also great - it's comfortable and secure without being overly tight. And for the reasonable price, you really can't beat the protection and performance of the Retrospec Dakota. While the surface damage is a bit unsightly, I'm still very satisfied with this helmet and plan to continue using it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality helmet for biking, skateboarding, or other action sports. It may have saved me from a serious head injury, seriously.

**Q: what safety certification does this helmet have? im looking to ride on electric scrooter that can reach 40mph although atypical**
A: Taken from the item description: “ All Retrospec helmets are tested at a CPSC and EN lab for virtually any action sport shenanigans.”

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: I bought this helmet because I require my Grand Kids to wear helmets while on the ATVs and they gave Papaw a hard time because I didn't. It is well made, comfortable & cheap, all qualities I wanted. Yes, it is made in China, but until America can make a quality product at a reasonable price, it's what we're stuck with.

**Q: Can i wear glasses with this helmet?**
A: THis helmet will accomodate glasses. I think standard sized frames would work the best. We wear rx glasses inside our goggles and the goggles fit nicely around the helmet

**Q: Can I wear over the ear headphones with these?**
A: I’d say no. The helmet is pretty fitted once on and it’s a good size, so there isn’t really any space for over the ear headphones either inside the helmet or over the helmet.
