We used it to cut 3/8’s steel plates, and it worked great. It even cuts galvanized like butter. I can’t recommend this blade enough. But you have to use the correct saw, you can’t use it on a regular table or skill saw. The correct rpm is on the blade if I remember correctly. **Q: Does this blade have a diamond arbor? will it fit a 8.25" skillsaw?** A: Hi No diamond at all. .only 5/8 arbor. Also I bought it and says up to 4300rpm only. ..not like in the picture up to 9000rpm... So you'll probably need to check the exact saw with the right rpm. ..I've bought it for my flexvolt 8.25 table saw and he's running for 5800 rpm. ..so I don't think I'll use that blade in my flexy. ... **Q: I have aluminum sheets, 1/4” thick. I would like to make several cuts. Can this blade handle my need?** A: I can't answer your question directly but cutting a soft metal like aluminum is a challenge. It binds in a griding wheel or in the teeth of a hack saw blade. I would do a web search for the best way to cut 1/4" aluminum. A plasma cutter should work. I did not have good results with the Diablo wheel cutting a piece of steel. But follow the 3000RPM max speed. *by C***S on November 26, 2025* Warning - check the arbor size on your saw. This blade has a 1inch arbor. Most 10in miter saws are 5/8in arbor. No biggy - just order a "saw blade bushing kit" - about $7 - when you order these blades. Worth it. There is a huge difference in materials used to make ferrous metal cuttings blades. Diablo makes their blades with Cermet - a fundamentally harder material than tungsten carbide or HSS tool steel (most other blades). For a detailed explanation see my video. I have worked in material science including synthetic diamond synthesis - this blade uses a unique material, better and harder than tungsten carbide. As a result I highly recommend it for ferrous metals with 2 key caveats. First - it MUST be used in a 3000RPM saw - not a regular miter saw (5000-6000rpm). Over-heating can kill this blade. Too high of RPM and it can quickly ruined. Two - don't push the cuts. Let the blade cut at its natural speed. If you think it is getting hot back off.
