I think the main problem is trying to grip such a short length (the bottom) and the pen is very small in diameter, so there’s just not much to hold onto when trying to grip it and use a lot of force to break the tiny plastic pieces off. ***when twisting the pen, you will hear a series of clicks, and then a more distinctive “click” followed follow by a “click” at a specific interval. The pen will also become much easier to turn after the distinctive “click” STEP 3: Check for the tiny plastic pieces at the bottom of the pen. There are 2 pieces total, I have noticed they tend to group together. STEP 4: Twist the pen clockwise (move plunger up) and then twist the pen counterclockwise (move plunger down) to make sure it’s working properly. I hope this helps!
