## Questions & Answers

**Q: There is mention of a carbide cutting wheel that is a better option.  Does anyone know if it is listed on Amazon or where to get it?**
A: I spoke with the manufacturer, Diamond Tech.  They said that all of their glass cutter wheels are carbide.  So, there is no need to substitute some other cutting wheel for the one that comes with this tool because it is carbide!

**Q: Is it possible to cut a "donut" with this?**
A: Hello,
Yes, it is possible. Done it. As noted by Liz, you need to carefully run the score on the inside circle. The Morton Safety Break or the Glastar Ringstar pliers work well to get the inside circle score to run all the way around. Once the score has run all the way around, gentle pressure will force the center piece out. Practice on window glass to get the hang of it. Might not work the first try, but it is not impossible. You can find the Safety Break and Ringstar pliers on Amazon... they work well not just for donuts, but for all glass cutting purposes.

**Q: Can it cut optical lenses for glasses?**
A: The EZ Lens cutter is intended for art glass use, and scores lines in glass. It would not work on polycarbonate materials, and always scores perfect circles. It does not cut through the material on its own, and is not intended for the precision or materials of optical lenses.
