The ingredients that are worst for reefs are Octocrylene and Oxybenzone which are the main ingredients in normal sunscreens. These chemicals are not on the list of ingredients for this one. It worked great for me! Just beware that sometimes you will see sunscreen that says reef safe on the bottle, but if you check the ingredient list it will have Octocrylene and/or Oxybenzone just in a smaller percentage or lower down on the list than the average bottle. **Q: Is this product non-nano?** A: Hey!
