## Description

Welcome back to the FAYZ! This is Book 6 in the series that Stephen King calls a ‘driving, torrential narrative’. All eyes are on Perdido Beach. The barrier wall is now as clear as glass and life in the FAYZ is visible for the entire outside world to see. Life inside the dome remains a constant battle and the Darkness, away from watchful eyes, grows and grows … The society that Sam and Astrid have struggled so hard to build is about to be shattered for good. It’s the end of the FAYZ. Who will survive to see the light of day? This is the nail-biting finale to the GONE saga. The GONE series is Lord of the Flies for the 21st century. In turns breathtaking, harrowing, and utterly terrifying. Its complex characters and moral dilemmas will delight fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Maze Runner. This is dystopian fiction at its best. Have you got all 6 titles in the New York Times bestselling saga: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, and Light ? ‘I am now free to leave the FAYZ, but my time there was well spent’ Stephen King Michael Grant has lived an exciting, fast-paced life. He moved in with his wife Katherine Applegate after only 24 hours. He has co-authored over 160 books but promises that everything he writes is like nothing you’ve ever read before! If the Gone series has left you hungry for more from the dark genius of YA fiction, look out for the BZRK trilogy: BZRK, BZRK Reloaded, BZRK Apocalypse and the terrifying Messenger of Fear and its sequel The Tattooed Heart.

Review: Amazing series - I was walking through the local supermarket book aisle and noticed a book with a black cover with bright green writing. I knew that I was getting a kindle for christmas so I made a mental note to give Gone a go when I had it. Its been just over a week since Christmas day and I have now read all 6 books. The need to continue reading these books for me can only be compared to the Harry Potter series. It has been a long time since I could say I felt this way about a book series and I adored all of the books in equal measure. I have never been so happy to have been dragged into the book aisle of a supermarket before. If you haven't read them, then do. Much like Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games, they say that these books are for children but really they are for all ages. You will fall in love with the characters (my personal favourites were Edilio and Lana) and you will laugh, cry, cheer for them, get angry with them and mourn them. The Fayz will draw you in, the mystery that surrounds the whole situation will leave you wanting more. If you think you can handle a world where everyone is under 15, there is anarchy, murder, cannabalism, lust, love, courage and much much more. You will see children grow into 'adults' and characters change for the better, and the worse. It is a true look into human survival. I personally think if it was adults it would have got a whole lot messier. Anyway, firstly I would like to thank Michael Grant for an ending worthy of the whole series, and secondly I will say to start reading Gone.. now. Its not just a FAYZ.
Review: Book Review: Light by Michael Grant - Light is the sixth book in the Gone Series. n Light the barrier has become transparent and the outside world peer into the strange world of the FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone). A world without adults and where some kids have powers. The darkness has taken a body, the child of Caine & Diana, calling herself Gaia. Gaia is bent on bringing death and destruction; for no other reason than the fact that she’s evil. It’s the EndGame and what an awesome one it is. Some characters will live and others will die. The characters are prey being hunted by Gaia, an enemy who aims to hunt them to extinction. Light is anything but predictable and so much happens. The plot is as we’ve come to expect from Grant, fast-paced. The ending includes the aftermath, what happens once the barrier comes down. I’m not ashamed to say that some of the final scenes brought a tear to my eye including: Sam & Quinn getting their friendship back to how it was, the ending for the two gay characters – Edilio & Roger, what happened to Brianna (Breeze) & Dahra and Orc’s redemption. Overall Light is the best in the Gone Series, closely followed by Lies. The Gone Series is worth reading from start to finish. Here are the books in order: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear and Light.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic

Never written a review of a book before but the world must know how absolutely brilliant this series is. There's been so many tv and book series where the last instalment is disappointing, never giving you all the answers you've been looking for. This book give you all that and more. If you haven't read the series buy them now! Start with Gone and work your way through to Light. I guarantee you that you will love them. By the way, I'm a little older than the target audience (20's) and pretty well read, but that doesn't change the fact that these books are one of the best series I've ever read. And if any Hollywood people by some miracle are reading this...this book series are films waiting to happen. Heroes, villains, superpowers, action, adventure, tragedy, an awesome ending - if that isn't a film I don't know what is.
