Makita isn’t in the business of selling bits and blades. They buy those and put their name on it. You can buy individual bits. Irwin is one brand. I sell those too. Just make sure you get an impact bit. Those are way more sturdy than non impact bits. Hope this helps. **Q: Are the hex shafts steel or something else ? Will a magnetic chuck hold them ?** A: The hex shafts are steel and a magnetic chuck will hold them. **Q: Can you use these to drill holes in drywall safely?** A: Yes you can safely, however you should probably use a masonry bit. These will dull out quickly and will end up being useless for drilling other materials in the future. Look at the :DEWALT Masonry Drill Bit Set, Percussion, Concrete & Block, 7-Piece (DW5207) on Amazon for drilling into drywall or something similar. **Q: Is there a specific way I should be taking the drill bits out of the case?** A: Either side of the case will pivot up towards you, like on a hinge. Once you swing them so they are pointing up, just grab the bit you want and pull straight up and the bit should slide right out of the case.
