The texture is compromised if you don't use cream and water. (Just an FYI, when you mix these, don't handle them too much by beating them or handling them too much so they won't bake tough.) In any case, these are really tasty. I LOVE the cranberries because they are HUGE and they bake up nice and moist. It's surprising. But then , Washington State has cranberries! So I am assuming they are very fresh. The orange flavor is just a perfect addition and they are wonderful. These are delicious!". Little did they know, they came from a box that required that you simply add water! I even cheated and didn't kneed it adding flour ... just mixed, let it sit a few minutes and dropped by the spoonful onto a cookie sheet. Couldn't be easier! I can't find this product locally so I always order here. Also makes a great gift when combined with some nice coffee beans/grounds!
