Review: Strong and durable belt - I bought his type of belt originally to get through airport security as they have no metal within them. But after having these for several years, I find that they are far superior than most leather belts sold today. These are far stronger than leather and the belt buckle, although very plain is made of a strong reinforced nylon polymer. The durability is fantastic. These days, most so called leather belts are made of either a poor quality of leather, over tanned to make them soft or laminated with a type of cardboard. These newer leather ones in my mind are garbage. The ones made prior to 1980 were quite good and last for ever. The new ones are mostly junk.
