- MADE BY KELLER IN GERMANY'S BLACK FOREST: Keller was founded in 1869 in Todtnau, a Black Forest town known for brush making, and the family still runs the business five generations later. Keller air-dries its wood for months and heats its kilns with its own wood shavings. Desert Breeze has worked with Keller since 2016 to bring this brush to you.
- 100% WILD BOAR BRISTLE FROM THE TIBET PLATEAU: Pure boar bristle, no nylon mixed in. These are first-cut bristles: the first cut includes the root end, the light tip you can see on many bristles. Boar bristle is keratin, like your own hair. As you brush, it picks up your scalp's natural oils and carries them down to the ends for soft, smooth, naturally shiny hair.
- MADE FOR FINE AND THINNING HAIR: The Tibet has softer, finer bristles than our Calcutta, gentle on a sensitive scalp and fine strands. It works best on dry, fine or thinning hair. It is not a detangling brush. For thicker, longer or medium hair, choose the Calcutta, its firmer sibling, in the menu above. Thick, coarse or tightly coiled hair needs a stiffer brush.
- PEFC-CERTIFIED PEAR WOOD, OUR BUTTERFLY: The oval handle is pear wood from PEFC-certified sources. PEFC, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, certifies sustainable forest management. Sanded smooth with an oiled finish, light at 5 oz, comfortable in either hand. **Q: Where is the brush made?**
A: The Calcutta and Tibet brushes are both made in the Black Forest of Germany, in a family shop that has been dedicated to crafting premium brushes for for over 150 years. We then engrave and package the brush at our facility in Idaho, USA.

**Q: What if my hair is thick? Can I still use this brush?**
A: If your hair is thick and you still prefer to use one of these brushes, we recommend the Calcutta bristles, and brushing your hair in sections. We also offer the Calcutta MAX boar bristle brush that is made for thick hair. Please see the chart below.

**Q: Can I use this brush on wet hair?**
A: Wet hair is fragile, and the boar bristles naturally grip hair to distribute the oils. It is best to use this brush on dry hair. For brushing wet hair, we recommend our Wood Bristle hair brush. Please see chart on this page for more info.

**Q: Can I use this brush in the shower?**
A: Because the brush is wooden, it is best not to use in the shower. Extended exposure to water may damage to the wood.

**Q: Are there any synthetic bristles in this brush?**
A: No. The bristles in the 100% pure boar bristle brushes include only wild boar bristles. There are no nylon or any kind of synthetic bristles included.
