It's not carpet but good sturdy enough material. You will need to stick it down and it comes with some adhesive strips but recommend having more especially if it is to be used as a red carpet. Used this for our church red carpet event, so needed to do that to avoid tripping as it might bunch up. It can be reused but you would need further adhesive strips. Looks great and the part when it's done. You can easily brush off any dirt dropped on it. Apart from the adhesive strips to make it sturdy, it's great I would recommend it.
