She has not received it yet so this review is "pre-use". Therefore, my review is geared towards potential "gifters" rather than from someone who has actually used the product. After opening the package and viewing the contents, it was obvious to me that it is of the highest quality. Lots of shiny metal - real metal, not chrome plated plastic - some of the metal (stainless steel) polished to a very high degree and some of the metal chrome plated. Maybe I am old-fashioned, but real metal is a big deal to me and shouts out real loud "VERY HIGH QUALITY". The "kit" is beautifully packaged in a case with pre-formed spots for the cookie press and all of its accessories. And it looks like a durable storage case that can stand the test of time. Lots of parts (= lots of different style cookies) but all of apparently highest quality. This is a pricey cookie press kit compared to others that I researched on Amazon as well as several other websites. But as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." For me, I would rather spend more money on something really good and high quality like this than have a dozen of the cheaper ones that will last about one bake. One other thing - a few weeks after purchasing this cookie press kit from the seller, DKST Kitchen, I received a very nice postcard in the mail from the owners of DKST, a husband/wife team based out of Tasmania (Google it - it's not anywhere on this side of the planet). They thanked me for my purchase and personally signed the card. I have never in my life (I am 65 years old) received such a personal "thank you" card for purchasing something, and for this reason, as well as my perception of this kits' outstanding quality, I really feel that you can't go wrong with their cookie press kit. ### ⭐ Nice box. That's about all that's good. *by E***. on December 11, 2016* This product turned an event that was enjoyed in previous years into an absolute nightmare. I literally cut two fingers trying to re-assemble the top piece (the piston piece would repeatedly get jammed in the top at an awkward angle when the product was unscrewed). Directions for assembly are confusing, and the amount of torque needed to squeeze a cookie out hurt my wrists. The dough was continually jammed at the bottom, ended up re-doing many cookies because the cookie press did not form the dough into a shape. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that there was some sort of black, grease-like substance that I think came out of the top portion of the press. (and yes, I washed it all before using it.) I had to throw out some cookie batter because this black stuff got in it.The one good thing I will say is that all the components fit nicely into the box when you want to return it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product but a problem with the notch and lever. *by K***A on December 19, 2017* My first time I used this it was a little difficult to continually push the cookie out. It seems like the lever moves away from the notches on the rod with each pump. I had to constantly push the lever back in the notch to continue to press the cookie. Maybe with some practice it will be better. Other than that I like the number of discs and that it has pastry tips. The case is very nice too it keeps everything organized. Another nice thing is that I emailed some questions when I was first using this and I got an immediate response. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem with the lever and the notches? I have only had time to use this product once but I will be using it again soon to make cookies for Christmas.
