After I finally got it off and removed some links I opened and closed the clasp several times hoping to loosen it some. I really love it so I will tolerate the minor inconvenience. I will update my review after a few months as to how well it holds up. I changed my rating to five stars because the clasp finally became much easier to unlatch. Actually, I hardly ever take it off.
