At a change every three to six months, two cartridges cover six months to a year on a single housing, and longer again if you rinse them between changes. The larger packs on this page bring the cost per cartridge down if you change on a schedule. Pleated construction is the reason these outlast a spun cartridge of the same size. The polyester media is folded into an accordion rather than wound smooth, which packs far more surface area into the same body.
