The Workhorse: The Escali Alimento Digital Scale is equipped with a highly accurate, durable sensor which is perfect for kitchen, office and laboratory use. The scale features an elevated stainless steel platform, a large back-light display and easy touch buttons. Elevated Stainless Steel Platform: The elevated stainless steel platform provides better visibility to the display when measuring larger items. Easy to Read Back-light Display: The display is easy to read under any lighting condition and turns off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity to save battery. Sealed Control Panel: The display and controls are sealed under a protective shield to guard against accidental spills. Tare Feature: Reset the scale to zero weight to measure multiple items or subtract the weight of container. Automatic Shut-off: The scale will turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity to help conserve and extend battery life. AC Power Adapter Available Separately: An optional AC power adapter is available separately and will override the automatic shut-off feature.

Review: OK but flawed. - Works OK but has a couple of things which bug me. The 'Tare' function doesn't work as you would expect, so there's extra button pressing and standing around waiting for it to change mode, which it does frustratingly slowly. Sometimes the button doesn't work so you have to press it multiple times which is really annoying. The backlight is good but would be better if it was on permanently, because I just have to switch it on every time. The product is OK, not amazing. I wouldn't recommend it.

Works OK but has a couple of things which bug me. My old Escali Alimento 136DK lasted over 14 years. I bought another Escali Alimento 136DK in June 2025. It's the same scale and works great. I use an AC power adapter and leave it plugged in. I need the scale to increment accurately to a tenth of an ounce or .1 ounce, which it does accurately. Easy to clean. Very happy with this scale. (AC Adapter not included with purchase). Scale measures in grams, ounces, lbs, lbs & ounces.
