I just got an iPhone, but I have an HP laptop. I take a lot of videos that need to be transferred to my computer for editing. But every USB data cord I used would only charge, not transfer data. My PC wouldn't even recognize it. I was having to use Google Drive to upload video clips, then download to my computer. Ugh!!! BUT now, with this thing, I can upload directly to it, store it there as long as I want, until I'm ready to use it on my laptop. I love that it has multiple options: USB-A, USB-C, and lightning ports. My only drawback is that the lightning piece is not long enough to plug into the port while my Otterbox phone case is on my iPhone. I have to remove the entire case to plug in this flash drive. But it is still so much more convenient than what I was doing before, I'm okay with it, and still giving 5 stars. I'm even thinking about just getting a different phone case. Would be totally worth it. :) The phone app is really easy to use, and I was happy to know that you don't need any software/apps for the laptop, where it works just like a regular flash drive. I also liked the packaging, it feels really premium. The drive works as expected – I use it as a portable storage that I can plug into anything (computer via USB-A, laptop via USB-C, iPhone via lightning) without any extra adapters. Be aware though – on an iPhone, it requires an app. It does NOT work without the app, and all transfers need to happen through the app. The app is pretty easy to use and the suggestion to launch it pops up automatically as soon as you connect the drive, but it does creates nuisance for some use-cases. For example, you can't copy a folder from the drive directly to iCloud Drive (or Dropbox) – the app can only work with the local storage, or export files one-by-one via the "Share" button. If 3rdParty app is a deal breaker for you, consider getting a microSD iPhone adapter instead – they work directly with the built-in "Files" app, and you can easily plug the card anywhere, so they essentially provide the same functionality. Another issue is the heat. The drive get pretty warm even when you're not working with it (but leave it plugged in).
