At times, it was so bad I could not turn to my left or look down at certain angles at all. I purchased this pillow and my neck has been continually improving since notwithstanding the fact that I have never gone back for more physiotherapy. I am able to look down and I am can turn to my left with little discomfort. This is not a cure for neck pain and I would still recommend physiotherapy or something like it. However, this pillow makes a huge improvement. I do wish it were a bit higher. I find my shoulder can hurt when on my side. The truth is though, in spite of this, my neck continues to improve. I use it with a pillowcase.
