Review: Personally I am very allergic to noise. My used aquarium came with a very noise pump. Had to replace it, and choose this one. Initially, it still made a bit of noise. I guess because there was still some air inside it, or vibrating a bit against the walls of my sump. It's nice and very silent now. Quality build too. Very happy with it.

Personally I am very allergic to noise. My used aquarium came with a very noise pump. Had to replace it, and choose this one. Initially, it still made a bit of noise. I guess because there was still some air inside it, or vibrating a bit against the walls of my sump. It's nice and very silent now. Quality build too. Very happy with it.

This is a great pump. It is super quiet and powerful for its size! I’m using it in a Fluval Evo13.5 tank and it’s probably over powered, The .5 would probably be better matched honestly but I like the extra power. A tip to evo owners where this pump makes noise I found the stock locline outlets restrict flow and put “back pressure” on pump creating noise. Using higher flow outlets or just taking the small stock outlets off will fix the noise and it will be nearly silent.
