I recently replaced all my fittings in the shop because I had an assortment of all things air from 20-30 years of acquiring. The advantage of type V couplers is that you can use tools with type A & type M fittings along with the type V kind of a universal receiver however the reverse is not true, type V fittings WILL NOT work in type A or type M couplers. If you are using them for home shop, type M is fine the ones I have are working great form, fit, and function are great. **Q: are they made In USA?** A: I looked and cannot find a marking that indicates whether or not this is the case. But, they are machined precisely and work well, which is the key thing. Given the present attitude about mining, I'd guess the copper came from Chile, the zinc may or may not be from the US, and the steel is probably a US product. If they can be made by extrusion and/or cold heading they are probably a US product. **Q: Are they still made in the usa?** A: Indeed they are, which is why it's my brand of choice.
