In fact, I almost didn't get them because of the listed age range. I'm using them with some 8-10 year olds. Some of the students are on the autism spectrum, some have ADHD, and some have dyslexia. They've been helpful to identify emotions and think about when we experience them. We don't read them straight through. We read 2-4 pages at at time, with discussion, writing, and planning included. My students REQUEST to read these! I saw one 3-star review that dinged them because the "stories" were hard to follow. Another said they were too wordy for the recommended ages. I don't think you get as much out of them if you simply race through them and read them.
