**Q: can you describe the taste of these fresh dates?**
A: These have no relation to what we normally think of as a date. The taste is sweet and fruity with a chewy almost spongy texture. Whereas a date is much sweeter with a carmel like flavor and a pasty texture.

**Q: So this is packed inn usa but made in china?  this is shady.**
A: They are JuJubes....nothing else to say.  They were as advertised.  There are a lot of product raised in China and then repackaged in USA.

**Q: what kind of jujube is this? is it sugarcane jujube?**
A: Yes.

**Q: They are not usda certified since they are grown in china so i was not sure what recognized authority can validate their quality claims?**

I am not happy at all with the product. Has a rancid smell and the skin is extremely dry. Tastes like Cork texture, you can feel it scratching your throat when you try to swallow. Very disappointed. I won't buy it again. UPDATE: I received a new bag of dates (as a replacement ) and the aroma, flavor color, and texture were absolutely different. Very sweet and soft! I'm sure the problem was the storage, not the product itself. The tea tastes fresh and natural. Customer service, above and beyond! Following up with a customer to ensure quality is a must. I am satisfied with the product and I appreciate the opportunity to taste a new batch that absolutely made a difference in my perception of the product quality. Plus, to enjoy a natural and fresh fruity taste of their tea brand. A great customer service always makes a difference. The last 3 pictures are of new product received and there is a significant difference in texture and color.
