**Q: I had a friend order these for me and they came with japanese writing on the cap. there was no "pentel" branding as in pics. did i receive a fake?**
A: The same with my pens and my friend as well. No, I don't think they are fakes. And, I believe on the order site, it tends to let you know that these pens are made in Japan.
I have ordered other pens from Japanese manufacturers, and all are very good.

**Q: Do you receive one of each color: black, blue and red?**
A: Yes, and none of the colors run or smudge..

**Q: does it smudge if you’re left handed?**
A: I am not left handed but this pen does smudge easily so I would guess that it would.

**Q: Can the cartridges be refilled using a syringe and bottled ink?**
A: Since it is a cartridge replacement, it cannot be replenished with bottle ink.

Nice felt tip pen. But if you were like me and expected a fountain pen experience you will be disappointed. **Follow up after 6 months: I get it. These pens are very unique. Write like none Ive ever tried. I came back to move my review from a 4 star to 5.
