I've tried other methods to slow down his eating like using a food ball (which I had to stop using as the other dog hates seeing him have fun), putting a small dish inside his bowl, adding small tennis balls to the bowl etc. However, nothing has worked as well as this slow-feeding bowl.After hitting "BUY" I wondered about sizing of the bowl. If it were too big, he could continue to gulp food as normal, but if it were too small, he's clever and might resort to digging food out or something else. That said, he was able to get enough food to be satisfied without doing his usual face-plant into the kibble. I didn't use a stopwatch but I would say it effectively slowed his eating time from about 15 seconds to several minutes.The bonded silicone ring on the bottom of the bowl kept it from sliding around on the hardwood floor and the base is indeed wide enough that my very clever dog cannot flip it over. Bowl construction is solid, very smooth, and it's easy to wash. Very pleased with this bowl and recommend giving it a try if you want to slow down your dog that eats 2Fast2Furious.For inquiring minds: the sticker on the bowl says it was made in India. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pup couldn't get to the food. *by T***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2017* This is a well constructed, nice looking bowl. But it is SMALL. I have a German Shepherd puppy. 12 weeks old. 18 lbs. Like most puppies, I am sure, she inhales food. I figured this bowl would be a great way to slow her down. The area between the baffle and the edge of the bowl is very narrow and deep-she had a really hard time getting her nose in there to pick up every piece of food. I had to hand feel her the last of the food because she just couldn't get to it. She was pawing the bowl and moving in a circle all around it. If a puppy can't get into that narrow space, I am not sure how anyone's adult dog is managing it. At least, adult dogs with snouts. I will try again with the 25 oz size and hope that she can at least get to the food in that one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bowl really does slow down the eating time *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017* I have a French Bulldog puppy that inhales his food in 30 seconds (if that) with a regular dog bowl. This bowl has slowed him down to a few minutes. He has no problem getting to the food with his squishy face and it has actually cut down on the amount of gas he has, which makes us all happy. The rubber base also prevents him from pushing the bowl as he eats.
