The pouch attaches easily, has two molle straps, it's very sturdy and nicely done. It will take your AR mags without problem. It has great retention and the mags don't move. It's a little more difficult to get the AK magazines in. AK MAGAZINES FIT, but they are just hard to get inside, unlike your mum. Forget about putting a mag in with one hand. You must use both hands to put a magazine in. Overall, it does what it's supposed to do, for me.
